Q. How do I get an estimate?
A. At Booth's Cobblestones, it starts with a design appointment. Go to our contact page and choose a method to contact us. Lets us know you are ready for a free consultation.
Q. What is the cost?
A. Material selection and square footage are the biggest factors when determining price; concrete pavers are at the beginning of the price range. The price increases with clay brick, travertine, and natural stone. Other price considerations are: sealing (optional) and demolition (if needed); also financing is avaialable.
Q. Do pavers have to be sealed?
A. No, but we recommend it. Sealing will extend the life of the concrete pavers and protect the paver color. Sealing will also inhibit the growth of weeds, mildew, and resist staining from organic materials.
Q. How long is the installation process?
A. The size of the installation determines the time frame; material availability is also a factor. Some concrete pavers, clay brick pavers, travertine pavers are readily available. Some materials like "custom chiseled-edge stone" products are special order.
Q. Do you only install concrete pavers?

Q. Can I install pavers over an existing driveway?
A. Typically, no. Because most driveways are already at finished grade. There are instances where an exception is made due to grade and material factors.
Q. Who would remove the driveway?
A. Booth's Cobblestones maintains a fleet of trucks and bobcats for demolition grading, deliveries and clean up.
Q. Does my existing concrete driveway go to a landfill?
A. No, we take it to a recycler to be reused.
Q. What kind of base material are the pavers (bricks) laid upon?
A. A sand set install uses recycled concrete fines that are graded and compacted.
Q. Do you only do a sand set process?
A. No, we can do mortar set or sand set.
The sand set process is when pavers of any type are set over a compacted material, typically recycled concrete fines. Then the paver joints are swept with sand; this locks the pavers together.
The mortar set process is quite different and should only be done be a qualified mason. The pavers of any type are set in mortar over a concrete slab. Each joint is custom finished with grout or mortar. All mortar set installs must be installed over a concrete slab.
Q. Does Booth build outdoor fireplaces?
A. Yes, masonry work can extend some surface pavers choices onto walls, columns, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, fire pits, and mail box keeps. Masonry work is mortar set and should be done by a qualified mason. |
